Project Beacon: Competency Intelligence Engine

Research-backed competency framework intelligence

Project Beacon is Third Coast Learning’s initiative to develop and field-test an emerging Competency Intelligence Engine, an AWS-funded and powered system for competency framework development, alignment, and expert review.

Built for real-world framework challenges

The Competency Intelligence Engine is designed to help organizations work with existing materials—training documents, job descriptions, standards, curriculum, literature, whitepapers, draft competencies, or framework artifacts—to produce structured, traceable, and machine-readable competency outputs.

Seeking pilot partnerships for user testing

Following the initial AWS Partner Program-funded Proof of Concept (POC), Third Coast Learning plans to select pilot partners for POC validation testing, structured feedback, and documented use cases that may support future Minimum Viable Product development, Small Business Innovation Research funding, and similar extended commercialization pathways.

Early Pilot Engagement Opportunities

Can your organization define the capabilities it needs as fast as the work itself is changing?

Third Coast Learning is currently identifying organizations for early pilot engagement opportunities connected to Project Beacon, the working prototype for a future competency intelligence engine.

Most pilot opportunities will be discounted, service-based pilot engagements. Selected partners will receive early access to a guided competency framework development process at a reduced pilot rate, with fees determined by scope, source materials, stakeholder involvement, facilitation needs, and desired outputs.

A very limited number of no-cost beta test cases may be considered for use cases that provide exceptional learning value for prototype testing. These opportunities will be limited in scope and should not be considered full consulting engagements.

Because this is an early-stage proof-of-concept and beta test environment, participation does not guarantee specific output quality, platform performance, framework completeness, validation outcomes, or business results. Each engagement will be scoped individually.
